LBASE CLIENT RELEASED FROM TAX PENALTIES OF APPROXIMATELY UAH 9 MILLION

Our LBASE Law Firm team successfully defended the interests of a Client — a manufacturing company — during a tax audit concerning compliance with foreign currency regulations.

Following the audit, the tax authority prepared a report alleging violations of currency legislation and imposed penalties in the amount of approximately UAH 9 million.

We developed a solid evidentiary base proving the absence of any fault on the Client’s part, submitted formal objections to the audit report, and represented the Client during the tax authority’s review of the objections.

As a result, the tax authority took into account the legal position and arguments presented in our objections and released the taxpayer from the obligation to pay the penalties.
