DEBT RECOVERY UNDER MARTIAL LAW

Today, for many companies, the problem of unpaid debts has become one of the most painful issues in business. Counterparties delay payments, refer to martial law as force majeure, and court proceedings can drag on.

Therefore, the key question for a creditor is how to choose the right strategy and actually recover the funds rather than waste time and resources without results.

Thus, on March 26 at 11:00, a free webinar titled “Debt Recovery under Martial Law” will take place, during which practical mechanisms for dealing with outstanding debts will be discussed.

During the webinar, participants will learn:

 – how to determine the most effective recovery strategy: negotiations or litigation

 – which out-of-court tools can help recover a debt (notarial writ of execution, pre-trial claim work, restructuring)

 – which procedural aspects of court recovery during martial law should be taken into account

 – when it is advisable to conclude a settlement agreement and how to properly structure a repayment schedule and sanctions

 – what opportunities are provided by international arbitration and arbitral tribunals

 – when a debtor’s bankruptcy can become a tool for protecting the creditor’s interests

Speaker: Vladyslav Zhabskyi — attorney, Co-Managing Partner of the LBASE Law Firm, Head of the Business Protection Committee of the Ukrainian Compliance Association.

The webinar will be useful for business owners, CFOs, company executives, and lawyers who work with accounts receivable and want to act strategically and proactively
